NASCAR’s elite head to The Valley of The Sun this weekend for the Camping World 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Let’s examine the Fantasy NASCAR Outlook for the weekend.
Any list of contenders at Phoenix should always start with Kevin Harvick. He has won the last three spring races at Phoenix and will look to make it a fourth this weekend. Kyle Busch has three consecutive finishes of fourth or better at Phoenix and will likely add to that number today. Joey Logano has been quick at Phoenix recently and will start today’s race from the pole.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is a decent value at DK $8,500. However, his third place starting position will leave little room for place differential scoring. Roster Earnhardt with caution today, but the price point is solid for a driver with an impressive record in the desert. At $7,700, Clint Bowyer could be a solid play. He’ll start 13th and should hover around the top 15 all day.
Ones to Watch:
Young guns Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and Ryan Blaney have impressed throughout 2017 and should continue that trend at Phoenix. However, the young driver of the day may very well be Erik Jones. Jones starts eighth and has performed well at Phoenix in lower series in the past. Look for Jones to grab a solid finish today.
Harvick is always the favorite when the series comes to Phoenix. Considering how reliable he has been here in recent years. It’s hard to pick anyone else. If the No. 4 team falters, the field could be wide open.
Disclaimer: Remember, these are just my opinions as far as who I think will perform well and you should still do your own research before setting your team. At the end of the day, you’re responsible for your own team and remember: anything can happen in racing.
